Dynamic QR pricing

Dynamic QR codes priced per code — not a monthly platform seat

A printed QR that must stay correct after the link, password, or job title changes is a $9.99/year unlock on qrcode.house. Everything else can stay a free static download. That is a different bill from a monthly QR subscription that reserves a pool of codes, seats, and campaign tools whether you use them or not.

Three ways people pay for a QR

Free static

Adobe Express, a DIY template export, or our $0 download. The destination is baked into the pattern. Change it later and you reprint.

Per-code year

qrcode.house unlock: $9.99/year for that one short link. Edit the saved destination; the print stays. No monthly plan.

Monthly SaaS

A platform subscription (Bitly, QR Code Generator, and similar) for a quota of dynamic codes, scan history, and extra users.

What $9.99/year actually buys

After unlock, the printed pattern opens a short link on qrcode.house. We store the destination on your account — URL, vCard, Wi‑Fi, and the other types in the builder. Edit online; the same cards and stickers keep working. Custom centre logo is included. The scan path is on How dynamic QR codes work.

  • Billed per unlocked code, not per account or seat
  • Turn that code on or off from the dashboard
  • Codes you never unlock stay free PNG, JPEG, SVG, or PDF files
  • We do not sell an owner scan-analytics dashboard, team seats, or bulk CSV create — those belong on a platform plan

The two live prices — $0 static and $9.99/code/year — are listed on the pricing page.

What a monthly QR plan is for

Bitly prices QR codes as part of a monthly or annual platform (quota of codes, link tools, and scan data). Their current tiers are on Bitly’s pricing page. QR Code Generator sells starter through professional subscriptions that include a pool of dynamic codes, scan tracking, and extra users on higher plans — see their plans. Those numbers move; check the vendor if you need a quote.

That model is the right buy when the QR is one object in a larger campaign stack. It is the wrong default when you have one café sticker or one card that must outlive a job title.

  • You need a pool of codes and extra seats

Agencies and multi-site brands often want a monthly quota, bulk create, and more than one login. That is a platform plan.

  • Scan analytics and UTMs are the product

Bitly and QR Code Generator sell click/scan history, campaign tools, and (on higher tiers) branded domains. Buy that stack if you will use it.

  • QR is one piece of a link-management suite

If short links, landing pages, and QR codes already live in one vendor, keeping them together can be simpler than a per-code unlock.

When per-code $9.99/year is enough

  • One printed artefact has to last

A business card, window decal, or table tent you will not reprint next month. Pay for that destination, not a seat.

  • You only need one or two live destinations

A menu URL plus a guest Wi‑Fi sticker is two unlocks — $19.98/year. Codes you never unlock stay free static files.

  • You already host the page people should open

We store and retarget the destination. We do not sell landing-page builders, team workspaces, or campaign dashboards.

A dining room that reprints one file on every table still needs one unlock if the destination will move — the QR code menu guide covers when the URL itself is already stable (static is then enough).

A year’s bill for a few lasting prints

Use our published price only — competitor invoices depend on seats, quotas, and annual discounts.

  • One unlocked card or sticker: $9.99/year
  • Card plus guest Wi‑Fi: $19.98/year
  • Those two plus a menu destination that will move: $29.97/year
  • Every extra unused “plan” code: $0 if you leave it static

The printed symbol still follows ISO/IEC 18004. Billing is about whether the destination lives in the ink or on your account.
