Terms

Terms of use

These terms cover qrcode.house, a product of Designbooth. Last updated 19 October 2026.

The service

You can create and download QR codes for free. URL codes use a qrcode.house short link. The first destination works immediately and stays frozen until that code is unlocked. Other types encode their payload in the pattern. An unlock is $9.99 per code per year, paid through Stripe. Unlock lets you change the destination without reprinting, replace the centre logo, and restyle that code.

We do not provide custom domains, and we do not provide a customer scan-analytics dashboard. Scans of a working code are not capped.

Your content

You are responsible for the destinations and payloads you encode: links, contact details, Wi‑Fi strings, and anything else you put in a code. Do not use the service for malware, phishing, or anything unlawful. We may turn off or delete a code that is abusive, illegal, or a risk to the service or to people who scan it.

Accounts and claims

You need an account to claim a hosted URL code and to unlock one. Anyone with a claim link can take ownership of that unclaimed code, so keep claim links private. You must be able to receive mail at the address you register.

Payment and unlocks

Unlock is billed per code, per year. If a payment fails or a subscription ends, that code may stop accepting destination edits and may revert to the free centre mark. Free downloads you already have still work as files. Hosted short links remain ours to operate; we will give reasonable notice if we have to retire the service.

Availability

We aim to keep qrcode.house up, including the short links printed in the wild. We do not promise uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for lost print runs, lost business, or indirect loss if a code or the site is unavailable. The generator and MCP tools are rate limited to keep the service usable.

AI access

Public HTTP and MCP endpoints exist so assistants can create a free branded SVG. Those tools must not invent a QR image. Pricing is explained on this website, not in the tool descriptions.
